Leora Yarboro, MD, serves as a Cardiac Surgeon at the University of Virginia Heart and Vascular Center. Dr. Yarboro completed her fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at UVA and following that became a member of the cardiac surgeon team. Dr. Yarboro’s work entails a high volume and variety of cases. Much of her work includes minimally invasive surgery, as well as mechanical circulatory assist device surgeries used in patients with advanced heart failure.
She completed specialized training in Germany several years ago using new Ventrical Assist Device (VAD) technology.

BILL DIXON, MD

Dr. Dixon attended Medical School at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed his Internship, Residency, and Fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. In addition, he completed an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. His certifications include the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease with added qualifications in Interventional Cardiology. He is also certified by the Board of Nuclear Cardiology.
He currently practices at Southern Medical Group, P.A., and holds privileges at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.
