Dear Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that the Organizing Committee extends an invitation to participate in the 5th Annual Atrium Health SACS ACHD Symposium, to be held July 17 – 20th , 2025, at beautiful Kiawah Island Resort on Kiawah Island, outside of Charleston, SC.
This year’s symposium will address critical areas in the management of Adult Congenital Heart Disease, focusing on case-based presentations which will provide a platform for in-depth discussion and learning.
Topics will include:
1. Advanced Heart Failure Management in the ACHD Population with special focus on novel therapies pharmacologic and device therapies and the dysfunctional systemic RV.
2. Updates in Mechanical Support in the ACHD population
3. Heart Transplantation in the Complex ACHD Population
4. Cardio-obstetrics in the ACHD Population
5. Advanced Cardiac Imaging in Adult Congenital Heart Disease with a focus on emerging techniques.
6. ACHD program development
Each session is designed to be interactive, based on complex ACHD cases, encouraging the exchange of ideas, best practices, and innovative approaches among ACHD teams/providers and programs. Our goal is to enhance knowledge base, refine clinical skills, and foster a collaborative community dedicated to improving patient outcomes.
Kiawah Island is a beautiful barrier island located near Charleston. Between its pristine beaches and saltmarshes, miles of biking/running trails, and championship golf courses, Kiawah will provide an exquisite backdrop for our symposium – and a wonderful place for personal and family fun and relaxation.
